Machine Mind

"Machine Mind" is an action stealth game where players must switch between drones with unique abilities on the fly in order to solve puzzles, take out guards, and rescue their robot kin. The robots that players rescue are actually other players' robots, and players unlock new cosmetics to customize and share their own robots with friends.

Conception

"Machine Mind" was created as our team's final-year project at Sheridan College. It was the result of a prompt from our mentors at Ubisoft Toronto, who challenged us to incorporate a social mechanic into our game. 

Development

For "Machine Mind", I took on programming and game design responsibilities for the game's social elements.

I documented, playtested and iterated upon the robot creation and sharing features, then integrated them into game's unlock and progression system. I also implemented these features directly in Unity.

​

I also received guidance from our team's mentors at Ubisoft Toronto, who met bi-weekly with the team to discuss progress and provide valuable feedback.

Result

"Machine Mind" was successfully completed and showcased at the 2021 XP Game Summit, and is available to play on itch.io.
